Partners Meeting 25-29.07.2011

In July 2011 an international seminar was held as a part of the project “Youth Factory of Social Entrepreneurship: Jobs, Enterprise & Society”.

The 5-day seminar focused on the following topics: social entrepreneurship in the life of youth organizations and social entrepreneurship as a means for developing youth initiative and enterprise.

12 partner-organizations from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Russia sent their representatives to Nelijärve and Harjumaa.
     

The meeting was based on the methods of non-formal teaching, encouraging the exchange of experience in the sphere of social entrepreneurship for the sake of long-lasting creative cooperation.

Social entrepreneurship is not a universal model for trouble-free work of a youth organization. This is more a fascinating and worthwhile business initiative of youth associations that can become a source of financing and social efficiency. 
    

In the course of discussion the participants formed a general definition: social entrepreneurship is a commercial activity, which eventually is carried on to the benefit of society and solves social problems.

This is also an opportunity to gain financial support for the organization development, doing the things you like as well as volunteering.

More than ten creative ideas were generated and proposed during the seminar.

Having defined social entrepreneurship as an innovative tool to be applied to the youth social activities, the participants left the seminar longing to use the new experience in their work at home.
